| In the dense forest of
illumination, a great discovery was found. Etched into stone and inked
upon parchment, the last testiment of a lost world has been revealed. A
land replete with the creatures of the bedtime stories your parents
once read to you has become alive, and in honor of the great essence
that is imagination, we at Ursa Minor Press are pleased to present to
you, The Lost Library of Arteris. Our first discovery in this tomb was a fortuitous discovery, indeed. The Five Books of Malitrox, chronicaling the final few years of Arteris, was found under a statue effigy of a deity-type figure in the central subterranean library. At first, the language seemed impossible to interpret. Yet, by the genius of our cryptographers, we were able to decipher the foreign text, discovering the genetics of their language were not unlike our own. In this text, known as The Arterian Redemption, we discover the reason for this world's disappearence from all history. In accordance to the laws of Dichotomy, this world of Arteris rested upon a balance between all spirits of existence and their antithesis. Without Good, there would be no Evil, and so forth. However, it appears that one of the rulers of these spiritual characteristics started a war to cover the world in a blanket of iniquity, thus destroying the fragile balance. And so enters our hero, Merevick...the one soul who could stop this from happening. This is the first of many manuscripts we have found in the library. As our cryptographers continue their efforts to translate these priceless works, we invite you to behold the fruition of our discoveries. |
